Mei In this course, I learned many approaches about second language acquisition. These courses also helped me know more about how we learn a second language. I've also learned many methods of teaching such as reading, writing, listening, and speaking through this program. Also, we had done many activities related... to these teaching methods. We practiced different teaching methods and showed them to everyone in our own style. We also met many different classmates from different places and with different backgrounds. We shared our teaching experiences and learned from each other. This program really helps me with my future work. After I finish my graduate education, I would use what I have learned from this program to train myself as a proper English teacher. (2008 TEFL July Class)

Roger Before I came to this class, I expected it to be a very long boring course with an instructor at the front talking about all kinds of theories, because normally this is the way in TW. But after our first class, I found the course to be structured more like a workshop. We can have more interaction with each other and the... instructor. Not only does she teach class, but also inspire us with her own ideas and thoughts. I think the most helpful thing is when Amanda shared her own experience on teaching ESL course. This way, not only do we know the theories behind teaching but also know how to apply it practically in our class. Although this course is about how to teach English, but in my opinion, I think it can also apply to teaching any other language. (2008 TEFL July Class)

Annie Undoubtedly, to join TEFL course is a very good experience for me. During these four days, I learned not only the theoretic policies but also the practical methods. Heather 對於此次參加的課程收獲頗豐，因為本身從事兒童英語教學已4年餘，深知唯有加強自己的實力才有足夠的能力去教育別人，在這次的課程中老師仔細的講授一些理論的部份，也對於我們的問題一一解答，我們跟老師之間也因有著良好的互動，而產生更加生動的學習效果！其實台灣的教育制度一直存在著填鴉式的教法，而無法讓學生有自由發揮的空間，使得一些想法反而被... 壓抑了！通常台灣的學生一直被灌輸著不能問問題，而只能吸收老師所教授的內容，在這次的課程中老師用聆聽、詢問、發現問題、提出解決方法這4個步驟來幫助我們對於上課內容有更深刻的體會與理解，我想這是對於我往後的教學生涯中最要去努力學習的一部份！(2008 TEFL July Class)

Ludy When I took the TEFL course, I felt very nervous because I don't have any ideas about this class. I thought that I couldn't make it, but I was really surprised that I learned a lot from this course. It was a big help for me since I didn't have any ideas about teaching. The instructor was really great...  Before, I didn't know where and how to start as a Foreign English Teacher. I always had doubts about myself. Tina The TEFL course has given me a lot of ideas on how to teach English as a foreign language. And the most important part is that the course has given me confidence on teaching. It was a blessing to me. The people in the class were very friendly, too. It is really nice to share ideas on teaching with each others... I can also learn from my mistakes. Genn I had a pleasant time studying this program and the knowledge and resources that I learned from this program have helped me greatly in teaching for a while now. It was really beneficial to try out this program. It takes only 25 hours in total which is very different from most other TEFL programs but also because the... program provides me with various interesting websites and games that would work for students and teachers. Besides, it takes a shorter period to get the Certificate, and the quality of teachers and education that we received are well-guaranteed. Furthermore, the TEFL Certificate is provided by Kent State University, therefore, I have confidence that the Certificate could be used worldwide and this is also the number one reason why I chose this program amongst other well-established TEFL programs. Last but not least, it is less stressful in getting the TEFL Certificate from this program because it does not require taking exams to pass the program but only projects and assignments. Francesca I bring notable experiences from the course. The teacher, Amanda, always considers students' responses. It is important to encourage us to express our opinions. Amanda believes that every thought has its own unique value. And the teacher could reflect more information or ideas from listening to students... Besides, every student doesn’t have to pretend he/she knows the answer. Our learning is based on interaction between students and the teacher. It is natural that no one is perfect. Moto Accomplishing the whole TEFL program, I feel extremely satisfied, excited and of course, totally exhausted. Through Amanda's lecturing and specific metaphors, all kinds of theories seemed to be simple and easy to understand. Also, by realizing the importance of multiple intelligence of students and history of methodology,... I believe that I am capable of designing efficient and interesting English-teaching lessons for all types of students now. And I really appreciate all the kindness from Taiwan Representative Office.
